New rules for UAE expat driving licenses

There will be new rules for expat driving licenses in the UAE. According to new regulations issued for the year 2017 regarding traffic laws by Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, expats will now need to renew their driving licenses every 5 years instead of 10 years. The cost will remain the same at AED 110. Emiratis are exempt and will renew their driving license every 10 years.
