Shore Time Dubai restaurant review

The Filipino-themed restaurant, Shore Time, opened its first outlet in Al Karama, Dubai. The official opening ceremony was led by Philippine Consul Giovanni Palec.

“With this opening, the Philippine delicacies like Adobo, Bulalo, Inihaw are introduced to other nationalities that will create a branding in their minds like for instance, when we say kimchi, we are referring to Korean food and now when others say Adobo, they are referring to our original Philippine dish,” Palec said.

I had to try this new gem in Dubai on a weekend after a morning workout and some beach volleyball with friends. The parking in the area is a bit difficult but we got a paid parking space few blocks from the restaurant.

For commuters, it is just few metres walk from ADCB (formerly Karama) metro station. Shore Time restaurant is located behind Lulu Hypermarket near Sana Signal.

As we entered the restaurant, the staff were friendly and we were greeted with a smile. The restaurant has an upper floor in which the karaoke awaits the customers. The décor is chic with a balcony showing off the lovely Saturday morning bright sky.

We ordered Family Package Meals ‘Good for 6’ that includes the following:
Chicken Grill (Half)
Grilled Bangus
Vegetable Spring Roll
Fish Grill
Nilagang Baka
Rice, Soft drinks
Set price: AED99.00

In addition to that, we had another Family Package Meal but of different menu...
Fried Garlic Chicken (Half)
Grilled Bangus
Grilled Chicken (Half)
Chicken Loly Pop (Chicken Wings)
SInigang na Hipon
Rice, Soft drinks

The foods were served hot within 10-15 minutes. We started singing and getting the songs lined up in the karaoke as we wait for the dishes. All the dishes tasted really good. The highlight of the set menu was the Grilled Chicken. It is juicy and the meat was cooked to perfection. I noticed the Chicken Loly Pop was a rare inclusion to menus from other Filipino restaurants. Overall, we had a great time and stayed for more than two hours.
